Nike LAB MA-5, Tokyo

This was another interesting location for Nike, as it was a community pool before retail had moved in, as you can still see of the remnants from the sunken shopping center floor, with stairs and railings leading in.

There is infusion of locality through the wood used in the fitting room and the display cubes. The craftsmanship of the Japan team is unparalleled and always results in amazing retail experiences.

During these kind of projects collaboration and communication are paramount, as there are time zone differences and sometimes language barriers but I did the best at being proactive for both of these challenges by adding in live video conferences and trying different methods of communicating to meet the Japan team’s needs.
